Rust Eraser is helpful to clean and remove the rust and discolor part on the blade surface.
Before start using this rust eraser, please soak it in water for approximate 5 minutes and you can erase the rust and discolor part on the blade as you use the real eraser for erasing the pencil’s writing. For avoiding the deep scratches on the blade, please make attention and use this eraser gently for your precious blade.
It is best to enjoy the knives without using this tool. Here, we recommend below basic daily maintenance for your all knives.
Please do not leave the knife in water or with wet condition for long period. Even stainless steel blade has possibility to get rust and discolor if you will leave it with wet condition. After hand washing the knife, please wipe it with clean cloth for keeping it dry. For the carbon steel blade knives, if you put the Oil (we recommend the Tsubaki Oil) on the blade, it helps well for keeping the condition and preventing the rust on the blade.

This works well to quickly remove discoloration and rust without scratching. I was a bit cautious and apprehensive, so I first used it (after soaking) on a badly rusted 40-year-old carbon Sabatier chef knife before polishing my slightly tarnished hand-forged Japanese carbon steel, and keep them oiled regularly.
