2. Can you ship products to my country, and What are "EMS" and "DHL Express", "FEDEX" ?

We ship our products to over 100 countries worldwide using EMS (International Express Mail Service, by Japan Post) and DHL Express or Fedex .

Notice For Russian Customers:

Due to the COVID-19 situation, Japan Post, DHL and Fedex currently cannot deliver parcels to customers in Russia. Therefore, we currently cannot accept orders from Russian Customers and cannot ship our products to Russia.

We have heard that this situation is likely to last for a while, until the COVID-19 situation has improved.

 If you would like an Email notification please contact us at support@kencrest.us, we will inform you as soon as Japan Post resumes EMS shipments to Russia.


3. How does shipping cost?  

For only US$10 (for customers in United States, Canada, Australia and Asia) and US$15 for Europe and other countries.  we can ship your order to any one of over 100 countries worldwide via DHL Express or Fedex Priority or EMS. 

If your order contains multiple items, you will only be charged a total of US$10 or US$15 for shipping. The shipping fee will be automatically added to your shopping cart at the time of payment.


4. How soon can you ship my order?

We try to keep most items available for immediate shipment and we can usually ship your order on the same day that it is placed, or on the following day. If we are unable to ship your order within a few days, we will promptly notify you about the expected shipping date of your order.

On average, EMS (International Express Mail Service) takes the following number of days to arrive, once the shipment is dispatched from Japan:

  • To addresses in the United States within 3 to 5 days.
  • To addresses in Europe within 5 to 7 days.
  • To addresses in Australia, New Zealand, or Canada within 4 to 6 days.
  • To addresses in China and Asia within 3 to 5 days.
  • To addresses in Russia within 7 to 14 days.

 On average, DHL Express and Fedex takes the following number of days to arrive, once the shipment is dispatched from Japan:

  • To addresses in the United States within 2 to 3 days.
  • To addresses in Europe within 3 to 5 days.
  • To addresses in Australia, New Zealand, or Canada within 2 to 5 days.
  • To addresses in China and Asia within 2 days.

(Please note that delivery times might be affected by additional delays during the December Holiday Season. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this might cause)


 5. How can I trace my parcel ?

As soon as you order has been dispatched, we will send you an e-mail notification containing a tracking number that you can use to trace your parcel at the EMS Trace website, or the DHL TraceFedex Trace website.


 6. Are items shipped by EMS & DHL & Fedex Insured?

Yes, your order is insured against any loss or damage caused during transportation. We take great care to properly inspect and pack your products before dispatching them, however, if you notice any damage or other problems please contact us immediately; We will help you to make a claim for any damages and we will try to resolve your problem in a timely manner (Please note that you may be required to submit evidence, such as photographs or documents).


7. How can I buy knives which are “sold out” or “out of stock”?

We always try to keep sufficient inventory of all the products that we offer. However, because many of our knives are ‘limited production items’ that are produced by skilled craftsmen, using time consuming manual labor, some items may be out of stock for a long time once.

If an item you would like to purchase is out of stock, you can contact us by E-mail to both learn about product availability dates or be put on a waiting list. Or, if you are willing to wait, you may make your order now and have it shipped to you as soon as the item is back in stock.


8. I am not familiar with measurements given in millimeters. What are the blade sizes in inches?

In Japan, we use metric measurements in "mm" (millimeters) and "cm" (centimeters), or the old traditional Japanese “Sun” and “Shaku” units of measurement. On our website, we always state the blade length in millimeters, but we also provide this useful metric-to-inch conversion table for our customers who are not familiar with metric measurements. If the measurement you wish to convert is not in the table below, you can calculate the inch equivalent by dividing the number of millimeters by 25.4 (1 Inch = 25.4mm).

9. I have still not received your shipment and the expected delivery date has passed. What should I do?

Delays can occur if your postman or DHL Deliveryman attempts to deliver your parcel when you not available to receive it. If you suspect that this has happened, please check the current status of your parcel by using your EMS Tracking Number on the EMS Tracing system website, or by using the DHL Tracking System or Fedex Trace.  If the shipping status is displayed as “Attempted to be delivered”, your nearest local post office is probably keeping your parcel and waiting for you to contact them (Most local post offices will keep the parcel for 7 to 10 days before returning the parcel back to us). In this case, please contact your local post office (Quoting your shipping information and tracking number) and ask them if they can either redeliver your parcel, or if you can collect your parcel yourself (Proof of identity may be required). 

If your order has been shipped using DHL Express or Fedex, you can contact DHL or Fedex and arrange for you parcel to be derived on a specific date. DHL and Fedex aims provide an efficient, secure and fast delivery service that is also convenient for you.


10. If I have not received an order shipping confirmation e-mail, a reply to my e-mail inquiry, what should I do? 

We normally reply to your e-mail messages and process your order transactions immediately after receiving them. Therefore, if you have not received an order confirmation or reply to your e-mail within a reasonable time frame, it may be possible that:

1. Our e-mail was accidentally diverted in to your “Spam Mail” box; Please check your “Spam Mail” box (This has happened in the past with customers who use Yahoo Mail and Hotmail)

2. Please check that the e-mail address you entered was correct and is active.


11. If I need to cancel my order, what should I do?

1. If you need to cancel your order, please notify us by e-mail as soon as possible. If your has not been dispatched (i.e. you have not received a shipping confirmation e-mail with EMS tracking number), we will cancel your order and make a full refund. Again, if you have not received a reply within two days please check you ’Spam Mail” box or contact us again.

2. If we have already dispatched your order, you can refuse to take delivery of the parcel when it is delivered, and it will automatically be returned to us. Once it has been returned to us, we will refund the full value of the goods except for the shipping fee.

12. What is your return policy?

We would like you to be 100% satisfied with all the products that you purchase from us. If you are dissatisfied with you purchase for any reason, you may return your item to us within 14 days and receive either a refund or a replacement item.

All returned items should be in original condition (i.e. Items must be in unused condition, must not have been in contact with water and should include their original packaging).

We warrant that all of our products shall be free from defects in material and workmanship. If you find any of our products to be defective, we will offer you the choice of either receiving a new replacement product or receiving a full refund. This warranty does not cover products that we deem to have been either misused or abused. Please contact us at support@kencrest.us before returning them.


13. I have damaged my knife and I cannot mend it myself. Can you help me?

If you damage or break your knife while using it, you will be pleased to know that most knives with blade damage can be repaired or re-sharpened and be returned back to good working condition. If you would like us to appraise your damaged knife and suggest an appropriate solution, please send some clear photographs of the damaged area of the knife and a description of how the damage occurred to support@kencrest.us.
