Wooden Saya is one of the most common tool and the best method for protecting the blade and storing the knife, when not in use and to go.

The Saya is made of Magnolia wood which has good resistance for water and shrinkage.

Our Wooden Saya of Gyuto240mm is Suitable for: Hattori HD-8, FH-7. KAGAYAKI KG-7, KV-6,KV-8, KC-6. Masamoto VG-5024, ST-5024, HC-5024, CT-5024. Misono No.513, No.563, No.813, No.113. Ryusen RD-6.  Important Information when you purchase the wooden saya
As you know each Maker’s knife has different dimensions. For example, Hattori’s Gyuto 210m and Misono’s Gyuto 210mm have different blade spine thickness, blade width, dimension even they are same blade type and same  length of blade. Because of these slight differences, there might be a possibility that the wooden saya does not fit well with your knife. (Especially most of traditional hammer forged knives have thicker blade spine around the bolster)

Each Wooden Saya is thoroughly hand crafted, so it may vary in size, thickness and interior space. Since it is usually custom made to fit with each knife blade provided, there might be a possibility that the existing Saya you purchase does not fit well with your knife.

In order to avoid this problem, we strongly recommend you to buy the Saya with a knife for the pre-fitting and necessary adjustment.

We regret that our current regular shipping methods (DHL, Fedex and EMS International shipping) have high shipping fees, so we are unfortunately unable to accept orders for relatively low-cost accessory items, such as Wooden Saya, on their own. Additionally, due to the COVID-19 situation, Japan Post is not currently allowing customers to use their cost-effective international shipping method, “Postal Small Packet Air Mail shipping method”.

We apologize sincerely for the inconvenience caused by this international shipping situation. To save on shipping costs, please purchase your Saya and accessory items along with a knife / knives, so they can be shipped together.

    Gyuto 240 simplement splendide

Gyuto 240 simply splendid I have acquired a useful object of art. This Gyuto is simply magnificent. The weight helps find the ideal cutting motion, and gives our urge to use it another dimension. The blade of this master, Takeshi Saji is sumptuous to the eye, and the grip is a real joy. The saya is perfectly adjusted and does not move a millimeter when the knife is inserted. Frankly the cost of this item is worth breaking the bank if you like beautiful useful items. Thanks also to Koki, who patiently answered all of my many questions.
