This knife comes with 50/50 double bevel edge geometry for both right and left handed use.
For your information, Japanese Kitchen knives are generally designed for right hand use with a slightly thicker and rounded grinding on the right side blade and a less rounded (almost straight flat) grinding on the left side blade. However, both right and left hander can use the knives that have double bevel edge sharpened 50/50 without problems.

This is the Stainless steel blade kitchen knife, which has good rust resistance for easy maintenance. However even stainless steel blade kitchen knife has rust situation if you leave it with wet condition.
While on holiday in Thailand I took a cooking class and used a cleaver for the first time. I enjoyed using it and decided to buy one for myself. The Misono cleaver seems to be well made and holds a fine edge. The shape of the edge discourages me from rock-slicing, and encourages me to chop, which it does very well.
Very quick shipping, carefully packed and overall great service (tracking etc.). Knife is exactly as described and very useful, fantastic for making cucumbers hunan style or any other great dishes. Quality of the knife is superb imho, go for it.

I used this knife as a professional Chef in quite different Environments. It's not the best steel in terms of edge retention or overall sharpness but it's perfekt for a busy kitchen. It doesn`t rust and the Handle can't be harmed with humidity. This knife is my goto knife for 80% of my kitchen Tasks.
Overall quite a good cleaver.
