The Polished, Vivid Blue Pakka Wood Handle Scales beautifully match the mirror polished VG-10 Tsuchime Damascus blade and the knives have an excellent overall level of fit & finish and quality. The handle material is strong, resists water and resists shrinkage. The combination of the stylish blade and attractive blue handle reminded me of a beautiful, expansive sky and clouds, hence the name "Blue Clouds" 青雲.These knives feature a full-tang construction, a forged stainless steel bolster and stainless steel handle rivets / pins.
We especially recommend our JCK Natures "Blue Clouds" Knives to customers who are considering buying their first Japanese knife and want to own a moderately priced, high quality, practical, attractive and very fashionable knife.
A mainstay of professional Western kitchens, the Petty knife is a small general-purpose knife used for peeling, shaping, and slicing fruits and vegetables, chopping herbs, and making garnishes. The compact size and relatively narrow blade of the Petty knife mean that it is very nimble and controllable, thus it is ideal for making precise cuts.

This is the Stainless steel blade kitchen knife, which has good rust resistance for easy maintenance. However even stainless steel blade kitchen knife has rust situation if you leave it with wet condition.
I bought this knife mainly for its looks. Even now, a month later, i still pick it up from the knife holder and just look at it in awe of the craftsmanship. It was meant to be a present for my wife, who has small hands and always had trouble with the larger knives. She uses it as a utility knife and cuts everything with it. It does have a few small defects, a sign that only the sharpening is from a machine, which i like. It could have been indeed a bit sharper, but it's still sharp enough out of the box.
I like blue. I like to cook. I like good knives for cooking, that’s why I do have meanwhile a lot knives from the Carbonext series. But this one is the most used since I have it The smidge lager blade than the standard petty comes in handy for me to use this for most of my cutting tasks for vegetables and fruits. Dare to use this beautiful knife it makes a lot of fun.
Super sharp out of the box! Very easy to work with and beautiful as well!
Quick shipping from Japan to east coast as always which is pretty impressive with everything going on. The color of the handle and damascus both look fantastic and the blade came extremely sharp so I didn't even need to do any extra sharpening when it arrived
I really enjoy using this knife to chop fruits and vegetables. It’s not my go to for a large dinner, but it is perfect for when you need more than a pairing knife. The blue handle color is great and the knife is very sharp. It is also very lightweight.
