Notice about White and Marbled Water Buffalo Horn Ferrules for Mizuno Tanrenjo Knives
Unfortunately, Mizuno Tanrenjo and most other knife makers are now struggling to find the raw materials to make White or Marbled Water Buffalo Horn Ferrules for their knife handles.
Due to these difficult and unfortunate circumstances, we regret to inform our customers that Mizuno Tanrenjo is no longer able to accept requests for a specific color of Water Buffalo Horn Ferrule. However, we firmly believe in the high quality and craftsmanship of Mizuno Tanrenjo’s traditionally-forged Japanese knives - They are one of the most well-respected producers of traditionally-forged Japanese knives - and we highly recommend them!
Thank you very much for your understanding and attention.

This is the Carbon steel blade kitchen knife that can get rust and discolor easily, and requires extra care and attention to prevent rust.
This is such a nice knife. I ordered extra sharpening and it was well worth it. The knife is so sharp! It is nicely balanced and looks beautiful as well.
I have purchased this Knife over the Christmas/New year périod. It took a bit of Time to arrive, however it was worth the sait. The quality is exceptional, you can still smell it was just hand made. I use it every time I cook veg. I highly recommend this company if you are looking for a genuine and authentic Japanese knife. The item I purchased is Mizuno Tanrenjo Akitada Hontanren Series Blue Steel.
The Japanese knife I purchased is everything I expected from the supplier beautiful weight and balance Delivered on time ,an overall excellent experience .I highly recommend the blue steel no2 Nakiri
I had originally ordered the same Nakiri (with left-handed D handle) in white n°2 steel which became unavailable. However JCK were very quick to inform me of delay and suggested the option of the same in blue steel on which Mizuno Tanrenjo were working on (and not yet published on the website). We easily arranged things and I got the knife a lot sooner than expected! As for the blade itself I've never had as much fun slicing through vegetables. Great sharpness and retention, easy to sharpen with a whetstone. All in all great value for money and recommended if you do not mind taking good care of it as with any carbon steel.
