This knife comes with 50/50 double bevel edge geometry for both right and left handed use.
For your information, Japanese Kitchen knives are generally designed for right hand use with a slightly thicker and rounded grinding on the right side blade and a less rounded (almost straight flat) grinding on the left side blade. However, both right and left hander can use the knives that have double bevel edge sharpened 50/50 without problems.

So I haven't used it a lot yet, overall I like it but: (I will make the comparison with this model that I use a lot: https://japanesechefsknife.com/collections/fujiwara-kanefusa-fkm-series/products/fujiwara-kanefusa-fkm-series-petty-japanesechefsknife-com) -I like the size of small knife for its maneuverability, but I find it a little too long: the handle being made of wood and light I find it less balanced, which seems to me to be an important point for this kind of format. It is long and looks more like a little chef's knife, it may be good from a certain point of view, but I don't like to use it like that. -I don't like the fact that there is a white plastic that comes to hold the blade, there is a very slight unpleasant "interspace" and it makes noise when you move the blade, I'm afraid that in the long run this shortens its lifespan. -The end of the handle has protruding edges, I have large hands and when I use it for a long time it is unpleasant, it is also the case for my old knife, good in general I find that the handles most of the knives are too short. I ordered this knife to have something more "aesthetic " than the one I had, yes it is prettier than the old one, but I find it less practical at the time, maybe it is a question of habit.
