Dentoukougeishi are “Traditional Master Craftsmen” that have been recognized and certified by the Japanese “Ministry of International Trade & Industry”. This prestigious title was awarded to Forge-Master Yamamoto, of Takefu City, in the year 2020 for his decades of hard work and extensive experience in traditional knife forging and handcrafting methods.
His knives are simple, functional, beautiful, and traditionally hammer forged. He carefully selects only the most reliable, highest grade steels for his knives and maintains strict quality standards.

Fu-Rin-Ka-Zan Aogami Super Kurouchi Knives have a unique and powerful Kurouchi ("Black Forged") blade. The Aogami Super steel blade core is sandwiched with soft stainless steel, which not only enable easy sharpening and maintenance, but also improves blade toughness.
Fu-Rin-Ka-Zan Aogami Super “Sea Clouds” Knives have a simple yet elegant appearance and, in the area where the blade core and vivid cladding layer line meet, there appear to be beautiful clouds (Created by a special media blasting process). Master Yamamoto decided to name this finishing style
