Several years ago I discovered Koki at JKC. There was a fantastic array of knives available and I was looking to ditch my traditional European brands. I ordered a couple of knives to test the water and was ultimately impressed with the quality and response by JKC. Koki also added a personal touch by keeping me up to date on my orders and checking to see if I was satisfied. I've been a fan and repeat customer ever since. Now I'm introducing my son to Japanese knives and he's hooked. JKC is the place to go for all your needs. Excellent products at realistic prices.
If you are looking for a great kitchen knife that is very sharp for vegetable preperation this knife is an excellent choice. It is extremely sharp right out of the box and handles like a dream. Great value for an outstanding kitchen knife.
For my first knife I have chosen Nakiri with a traditional handle. This knife was the sharpest knife I ever had and oval-shaped handle is really comfortable (now I preffer D-shape, but not all knifes may have lefthand D-shape). After some time of use I have noted some scratches on sides, but they can be removed with some polish paste. Overall: great knife to chop vegetables and everyday usage
