This is the Stainless steel blade kitchen knife, which has good rust resistance for easy maintenance. However even stainless steel blade kitchen knife has rust situation if you leave it with wet condition.
The knife is light and well balanced. The blade looks very nice. One downside is the handle, it has a stong bakelite smell. I would not mind the plastic parts of the handle but the smell of it is more than unpleasant.
I bought a pair of knives as a wedding gift for a friend. After I saw the quality I couldn't help but get one for myself. These are the real deal. Best knife I own now.
This is my second japanese knife, and I can say that it was a wise decision. Very light, easy to use, sharp and versatile, it became my first choice when cooking. Delivery was fast and well packed.
This is a great knife, sure to become my everyday favorite!
Love it light and sharp
